  • Scout’s Notes:

Future150 Dallas Camp (September 12th-13th, 2015): Brown was at it once again, slashing to the rim and finishing everything. He also has the tools to be a lockdown defender. He will need to improve his shooting ability to maximize his effectiveness.

Future150 Houston Camp (August 22-23, 2015): Roydell is a powerful wing.  He can leap and shoot a bit.  He can attack the rim or defend multiple positions.  His weaknesses are few.  Roydell is a frequent camper and his progress has been obvious over the years. Outside shooting is still average. -Andrew Force

Future150 National Camp (Oct 11-12, 2014) Roydell Brown-2016, SG (LA) is a power guard who can finish above the rim with the best of them.  His ability to finish through contact might be his best attribute at this point.  Even though his shot was struggling at times, he still was able to affect the game in other ways giving his team a chance to win.  Brown was definitely the best rebounder from the guard position.

Future150 Houston Camp (August 16th-17th, 2014): Brown has improved a lot in the past few months and it showed throughout camp. He is still a freak athlete that is very hard to keep out of the lane. Now he has become a very good passer and has improved his ball handling as well. While his jumper is still coming along, it has gotten better as well.

Roydell is an athletic wing prospect with a very high ceiling. He uses his long arms and quick first step to get to the basket and finish on or above defenders at will, making him a very dangerous slasher. He is also a terror in transition as well, always capable of putting down big dunks on the break.
