New Orleans, LA (Future150) -- Monday night was a special evening for class of 2016 wing and Future150 Alum Roydell Brown of Helen Cox (LA). Brown decided to end his recruiting process as he committed to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
Roydell has been a frequent camper with Future150 and has steadily improved throughout the years. Deservingly so, he will be playing his college basketball at the Division one level.
Brown had plenty of choices of playing at the D1 level as he held offers from Louisiana Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee State, New Orleans, Northwestern State, and UTEP. As his process was coming to a close Louisiana-Lafayette just seemed like the right destination all around.
"I felt like it was a great fit for me and also my family," Brown said. "They can help me get better as a student and get my game to the next level."
The coaching staff at ULL should be very excited for Roydell and already know how they plan on utilizing him.
"They mostly plan on playing me on the wing, and utilizing mismatches by going inside and (working in the post)," Brown said.
Brown is just one of many Future150 Alum's to chose their college home this year. Stay locked in with Future150 as we continue to track the progress of all our campers.
