Catchings is a rock steady point guard that knows how to play the game the right way. He is extremely quick off the dribble and had excellent court vision in both transition and the half court. If you leave him open he can make you pay by knocking down the open shot whether it be from mid or long range. He is like having a coach on the floor and he knows how to make his teammates better by getting them the ball. Extremely fundamental player.
Must get stronger and work on his core strength. Needs to work on shot mechanics to become a more consistent shooter. Needs to be more aggressive on ball when defending in the half court. Needs to add a floater and a consistent mid range jumper to keep the defense honest. Must tighten up ball handling to so the ball is on a string.
