Springfield, MA (Future150) -- IMG Academy (FL) is one of the best and most talented teams in the country this year. Boasting a roster that has five-star prospects in Trevon Duval, Silvio De Sousa and Emmit Williams, along with four-star big man Isaiah Stokes, the Ascenders have an abundance of riches.

That makes the emergence of 2018 wing Keyontae Johnson all the more sweeter. The 6-foot-5 wing has come on in a big way this season, filing what was going to be the Ascenders most glaring weakness. A powerful slasher, Johnson has drawn interest thanks to his ability to get to the rim and finish well above it. His frame and quickness has made him into a formidable defender as well. Because of that, more colleges have continued to throw their hats into the ring for his services.

"I've seen things change recruiting wise since the fall for sure," Johnson said.

Georgia Tech, Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Providence, Wake Forest and ODU have all offered. Creighton, Butler, UCF, and Memphis have all been in regular contact as well.

The IMG Academy wing will head back to Virginia Beach for AAU season, where he will suit up with Boo Williams on the EYBL circuit again this year. The AAU setting will likely only further help rake in offers, as his ability to get out and push the ball will intrigue a lot of teams. Ultimately, it will be interesting to see where his recruitment goes from here, but anyone looking for a powerful slasher and defender should certainly take a look.
