Cedric Russell.  SG 6’0” 145lbs Plays for Cenla Storm, a first year club from Alexandria, LA. Has excellent ball handling skills and can finish with both hands. Solid back to the basket game and has great range on his jump shot. Needs to get more explosive with his jumping, but that should come as he gets older.

Nobody is even close to Cody Riley. He’d be a beast in any class. My son played with him at Hoop Scoop All American camp. I got a close up view for 3 days. Built like Lebron. Needs a better motor, but it’s hard to hold that against him when there’s nobody to push him.

He is a athletic specimen. There are no kids that can match him physically, but there are several kids in the class that are more skilled than him. You’re definitely right about his motor. I watched him play twice in Memphis at DI Nationals and he was a non factor both games. It’ll be interesting to see him as this class gets older and the athletic gap closes.

Cody Riley right now is very advanced for his age, so it will be interesting to see what happens when other prospects start to close the gap on him in the coming years. That is when we will be able to tell just how much work he has put into his skill set in the meantime.  I am intrigued by Cedric Russell. I haven’t seen him play, but Future150 would love to get a look at him during one of our upcoming camps in the southeast…

We were supposed to attend your Houston camp, but had some issues come up. I had been speaking to Mr. Pratt and someone was supposed to be contacting me in regards to Cedric.

Okay coach. What is your name and number? I can give you a call this week as soon as I get your information.

When the stats flow in, the videos, and he plays in enough tournaments where you get to watch him, a kid flying under the radar is Jordan Terry. He has played on several quality AAU teams as well as a varsity HS starter as an 8th grader in Ky this last year. Has tremendous upside due to his athleticism. When the skill set comes around and this kid gets a good coach to work with him, this kid had Div.1 written all over him. He will be top 50 by the year 2017, if not much higher.

Jordan plays against Cody Riley and Wendell Carter a lot and neither of them has ever dominated Jordan. At a prodigy camp last year in Atlanta, Jordan was to athletic for Cody, but I will say that Cody has came a long ways in 1 year.

Wendell plays a different position than Jordan, so the only time we could compare them is around the rim.

Just remember, under the radar is Jordan Terry, remember that name.

Paul Scruggs from the Indy Hoosiers is the best wing in the country.  Dominated all of his competition in nationals the past two years.  Even played up with 2016 guard Eron Gordon and was the 2nd best player on that team.  His team was the only 8th grade team Tom Crean went to watch during the April recruiting period.  How is he not ranked?

Paul is good, I recall playing against him 2 years ago in Charleston In and also at the Hoops in Louisville a couple of years ago when Jordan was on the 5th grade Ky Magic team. Jordan later teamed up with Scott Kramer’s team ( Hoops ) that went to Cocoa Bech and took 5th in the state D II their 1st year. Next year Jordan moved to Atlanta, Scott took a team that had a good set of twins back down and took 2nd place the following year.

But I recall Paul burned us pretty good a couple of times that year. Just a FYI, I do not recall the kid, but there was a Bloomington Red team that was pretty good as well, they had a kid from the outside that had a lot of talent at the 5th grade level that year.

I Would have to say its one of simeon career academy’s top 3 incoming freshman, You’ve got Evan Gilyard Jr. (PG 5,7) A Quick, explosive guard that loves to penetrate with tremendous ball handling ability With a nice med-range shot. Then there’s Trevon Tucker (SG 5,9)A Long Wing player With outstanding Range, He has a very natural shooting stroke. He handles the ball and has very good court vision. Also last but Not least Madison Lowery (SF 6,2) A Strong forward with a great shooting touch,Loves to attack basket and finish strong, He can handle the ball and run the break. These could be some great simeon product.
