Charlotte, NC (Future150) -- Future150 Charlotte Camp gave a signficant amount of campers the chance to stand out and get exposure. All of the prospects were hungry and eager to shine against the competition. Here are some young prospects who caught our attention...

Jessie Townsend (2015 PG): The South Carolina native played under control all weekend long and has a solid set of ball-handling skills. He also makes good decisions and has great mechanics on his jump shot.

J'Quan Hinson (2017 SG): The youngster played competitively all camp long. If left open, he has the capability to knock down shots anywhere on the floor. Definition of a hustle player.

Drew Johnson (2016 SG): The energetic shooting guard impressed us with his long range shooting last weekend. He also ran the floor very well, finishing easy baskets consistently.

Tariq Sanders (2013 PG): Tariq was one of the best ball-handlers at the Charlotte camp. He kept his dribble low to the floor, and defenders were helpless when trying to pick his pocket. Also has a very quick first step to the hoop.

Basil Johnson(2015 PG): Basil was one of the hardest workers at the camp. He was enthusiastic during drill play, was attentive and alert during 5 on 5 play, and showed us solid ball-handling skills.

Gavin Williams (2016 PG): Gavin is a prospect who has a ton of room to grow. He is a young player who already has good size, not to mention a consistent mid-range jumper. He also possesses solid ball-handling skills.

Jordan Leath (2016 PG): Jordan is a prospect who has good footwork and ball-handling skills. He also is an extremely hard worker. Very coachable.

Xavier Eason (2017 PG): Xavier is another high-upside prospect. The eighth grader has a solid base of point guard skills and has excellent court vision. He also works hard on the defensive end.

Charles Patton (2016 PG): Charles is a prospect who has excellent size for the lead guard position at 6'3". He also loves to run in transition and finishes well at the basket with both his right and left hand.

Zahir Whitfield (2014 PG): A sturdily built guard prospect, Zahir loves to play physical basketball. He loves to play aggressive defense and run in transition. Has a high basketball IQ.

Mills Brice (2016 SG): Mills is a lanky shooting guard prospect who can fill it up in a hurry. He loves to shoot from the outside and use his long arms to get into passing lanes on defense.

Duncan LeXander (2016 SF): Duncan has long arms and legs which help him get up the floor easily for transition baskets. He also uses his frame to block several shots per game. A good shooter out to 15 feet.

Stanton Levine (2016 SG): Stanton is a solid defender who has good shooting mechanics. He also loves to score the ball in transition.  He just seemed to make solid plays all weekend long.

Henry Brown (2016 PG): The young prospect plays hard on every play. He has solid court vision and is always eager to learn. Developing his on-ball defensive skills.

Jeremiah Canty (2015 SF): A hustle player with an endless motor, Jeremiah loves to play physical, which helps him get many rebounds in the paint.  He is a solid on ball defender to boot.

Jahmeel Watts (2015 SG): Jahmeel has good size for the shooting guard position. He also is an extremely coachable prospect.  Loves to score in transition and has good court vision.

Orman Richardson (2014 SG): A solid shooter from both the mid-range and three-point range, Orman works hard to get open for baskets. He also plays tenacious defense.

Elijah Hinson (2017 PG): Elijah is a developing point guard who is an impressive ball-handler. He also is very good at playing within himself and creating for others.

Duncan LeXander is in the class of 2017.  He is not a 2016 player like he is listed here.  He is only 13 yrs old and a true 8th grader in middle school.  He “played up” with the high school kids at the Future150 in Charlotte, and at a couple of other events, and with his AAU team last summer.  Great attitude and very unselfish player with a lot of potential.

This camp was a must for my son since he is transitioning from a football athlete to a basketball player.  This camp exposed us to our next steps as my two year basketball player prepares himself for the next level in a short period of time. We will continue to attend the future150 camps.  Thanks Mr. Pratt for helping the kids realize their potential and goals.
