Powder Springs, GA (Future150) -- Class of 2017 point guard Collin Sexton (Future150 #113) is a known quantity in the Atlanta-region.  The Future150 Camp Alumnus, Sexton (Elite) camped with Alabama as July wrapped.

In fact, Sexton earned Top 20 honors last fall at Future150 Birmingham Camp.

Old Dominion, Georgia, Tulane, Ole Miss, and Kansas State have all offered.

"He just went to Tulane University," said brother Jordan Sexton.

Tulane has been on Collin for a long time.  They are convincing in their interest.

"More schools have come in the mix these past couple of weeks," said Sexton's older brother.

Currently the Sexton family has not planned any other unofficial visits.

Hometown Option

Georgia is always an attractive option to local hoopers.  Collin is one of only three 2017 PG's offered by UGA.  Luis Hurtado, Sexton, and Davion Mitchell each have offers on the table.  The Bulldogs are also strongly pursuing Drue Drinnon (2018).

Competing for the local state school will be an option Sexton has to weigh as more distant schools enter the mix.  Traditionally players like Sexton attract the local coaches first and then gradually gain traction across the region.

July was an important month for Sexton as he established himself more firmly as a top 10 PG from Atlanta.  The Class of 2017 in Atlanta has a lot of good options, including Jordan Goldwire, Zach Cooks, Aljami Durham, Connor Heyward, Darius Perry, and Danny Lewis.

Sexton is right there with all of them.

It will be enjoyable to see him earn the offers certain to come his way this winter.
