Dallas, TX (Future150) -- Future150 is back on the road again and this Live Period stop is in Dallas at the PrimeTime Sports Nationals. The high school division features some old faces and a ton of new ones looking to make their mark in front of the college coaches.
Here are the top performers from Thursday's pool play games.
Cody Brown 2018 SF, Houston Flight: At 6-foot-4, Brown is more of a stretch four. He can shoot the three off the dribble or in catch and shoot situations. He needs to work on his lateral quickness but he does a solid job guarding players on the block.
Jordan Briggs 2018 SG, Swag House: Briggs is a combo guard with a soft touch on his jumper. He consistently hit contested jumpers against Team Hawdwork and was active on defense as well. He is a good shooter in transition and finds ways to get himself open.
Ananise Mackey SF 2018, Team Work: Mackey is an athletic wing that is powerful in the paint. He is not a very good ballhandler, but he uses straight line drives to get in the lane and score. He is a strong defensive rebounder due to his athleticism.
Ja'Quan Tillis 2018 PG, Texas Showtime: The staff saw Tillis in May at the Memorial Day Classic in Houston and he showed why the staff was impressed with him in the beginning. Tillis is a strong guard that finished very well through contact. He handles the ball well and he uses his strength to get in the lane and finish amongst bigger defenders.
Morgan Cannon 2018 C, Team Overtime: Cannon is developing a solid post game. He was initially more of a scorer off put backs from rebounds, but now Cannon has developed a dependable hook shot. Defensively he plays solid help side defense but his biggest strength right now is his rebounding.
Matt Garriga 2018 SG. Team Overtime: Garriga recently came back from an 11 week injury and he looked like he hasn't missed a step. Knocking down threes, finishing in the paint with floaters and reading the passing lanes to rack up steals Garriga is back to 100%. Right now is more of a catch and shoot scorer, but is developing his game off the dribble.
Antonio Zachary 2018 PG, Louisiana Rockets: Zachary May be small but he is very strong and quick which helps him create space when he drives in the lane. He is a decent shooter and he does a great job facilitating and getting his teammates open looks.
Jakaymine Sonnier 2019 C, Louisiana Rockets: Sonnier is a 6-foot-5 post that excels mainly on getting rebounds and low post defense. He is raw offensively when he has the ball but does a good job keeping the ball high when he is position to score. Sonnier can be a special prospect if he continues to grow.
Adam Smith 2018 SF, Kingdom Knights: Smith struggled in the first half as his shot was not falling. A couple of layups later, Smith showcased his deep range which goes beyond the college three. Smith isn't a great ball handler and isn't very strong but he is lethal when he has any space for a jumper.
Nathan McKenzie 2018 C, Kingdom Knights: McKenzie is raw offensively but he shows flashes of something special if he continues to work on his game. He has a soft touch inside to go with his strong offensive rebounding abilities. He had an impressive showing on Thursday.
Jagger Haynie 2018 SF, Shooting Stars: Haynie shot the ball very well on Thursday. He is a combo forward that also has a solid post game to go with his nice shooting stroke. He is more of a back to the basket player who can score off a quick turnaround jumper, but he has a lot of upside and projects as a three.
David Hubbard 2018 PG, Houston Flight Elite: Hubbard plays hard on both ends of the floor and knows how to find his teammates in transition. He is good in ball screen situations and knows how to excute in the halfcourt. He can handle heavy ball pressure well, although he will stop his dribble too soon. That will all come together in time as he improves his decision making.
Chase Campbell 2018 CG, Houston Flight Elite: Campbell is a skilled guard that can shoot the ball consistantly from deep and can score of the ball in a variety ways. Opposing defenses have a hard time guarding him because of that The lefty is a zone killer thanks to his ability to stretch the floor.
Leonardo McCarter 2018 PG, North TX Wolves: McCarter Is a speedy PG with a pretty good IQ and knows how to set his teammates up. He is great in the half court and displayed a nice mid -range game. McCarter has a strong upper body frame to go with his quickness as well. He has the potential of being a solid point guard prospect in the future if he is more decisive on passes and moves when he doesn't have the ball in his hands.
Zavieon Jackson 2018 SF, North TX Wolves: Jackson is a long, athletic forward who rebounds and runs the floor well. He knows how to open the court up for himself and his teammates. His ability to knock down 10 and 15 foot jump shots made him an important factor every time he stepped on the floor.
TJ Muckelvaney 2018 SF, TX Showtime: Muckelvaney is a high energy wing that plays hard every play. He showed his ability to score the ball in transition; and when he is on the wing in half court he breaks defenders down with with his ball handling ability. Muckelvany has a well rounded offensive game, making him very hard to guard.
