Hampton, VA (Future150) -- Heading into the April live period not many people outside of the west coast had gotten the chance to see the improved Marcus Lee play. The buzz around him coming into the EYBL season was large, and so far the talented big man hasn’t disappointed.

Before the live period he had offers from VCU, Stanford, and San Francisco. Now he holds offers from Indiana, UConn, Duke, N.C. State, Kansas, Boston College, Louisville, Memphis, and Arkansas as well. A high energy forward, Lee admits that he didn’t know how to play hard for a full game before this season. That has all changed now, and he has become one of the most sought after players in the country.

More schools are sure to get involved and it doesn’t seem like his recruitment will end anytime soon. “I’m not paying attention to any of that, I’m just having fun and being a kid” He said. Although Lee is focused on basketball and having fun still there is no denying that his recruitment has picked up over the past two weeks. During one of his games Coach K (Duke), Tom Creen (Indiana), Steve Fisher (San Diego State), Bill Self (Kansas) were all watching him as well as another twenty or so assistant coaches.

When asked what brought on this transformation he replied “I honestly have no idea,” and went on to say that he was just trying to enjoy  this season. When someone is as good as Lee has become, enjoying the season seems pretty easy.
