Marin City, CA (Future150) -- Jordan Jackson is starting to make some noise in the Bay Area.

The 5’11” sophomore guard finished his first season as a varsity player.   Jackson quickly made a big contribution to Redwood High basketball as a scorer who also provides a spark of energy.  He recorded a 22-point game high against rival, Marin Catholic.

“I’m an offensive threat, and I can provide a lot of energy to my team,” Jackson said.

Jackson has a knack for scoring and his range extends to NBA three-point range.  He also has the ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim.  Defenders quickly learned of Jackson's offensive versatility.

The scoring machine is beginning to receive some college interest and his goals for the next level is to “attend a four-year Division 1 university.”

One school that has shown interest is San Diego State.

“They called my coach, but I didn’t want to look too much into it, because my focus was on the season and our upcoming games,” Jackson explained.

Jackson feels that he would be a great addition to any top college team.  He understands that there are other important aspects that a player must bring to a team besides skill set alone.

“I have a good work ethic,” Jackson said.  “I can easily adapt to different playing styles and sets that my coaches introduce to me.”

Jackson is very competitive.  Although he is undersized for his position, he isn’t afraid to embrace new challenges.

“I feel like I can compete with any player in the country, no matter their size or skill,” Jackson said with pride.  “No matter who you put in front of me, I’m going to see it as a test.  I love to compete.”

One of Jackson’s trainers, Garland Duhe, has been able to see him progress as a player since he was a kid.  Duhe attributes Jackson’s success to his dedication to the game.

“Jordan has always had a lot of talent,” Duhe said.  “Now that he has matured, with the combination of his hard work and talent, the sky is the limit. “

The 15 year-old, Jackson started playing when he was six years old.  Almost immediately he fell in love with the sport.  Jackson’s love for the game is clear.

“I have been told that my smile can light up a room," Jordan said.
