Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- With the new school year quickly approaching, the Class of 2016 will soon become more popular. Like its predecessors, this class looks to be very talented and deep.

Here is Future150’s first installment of the 2016 rankings, led by shot-blocker Thon Maker.

Maker’s all-around game earns him the first spot in our rankings; he can shoot, dribble, and pass, all at 7-feet tall. Right behind Maker is two other talented big men in DeRon Davis and Khalea Turner. Davis and Turner possess the strength and overall physique that few prospects their age can match.

A pair of talented wings come in at No. 4 and No. 5 with Josh Langford and Joshua Jackson. Both guards have an extremely impressive skill-set that set themselves apart from the rest of the guards in the country. Braxton Blackwell follows right behind, as he is arguably the most versatile player in the class to this point. He has shown the ability to play the 1-4 at the height of 6-foot-6.

V.J. King checks in at No. 7; the talented scorer will attend St. Vincent-St. Mary, where he will look to follow in the path as LeBron James as one of the best players to emerge from Ohio.

A Carolina trio can be found to round out the top ten. Seventh Woods is another talented guard that has only scratched his full potential, and the same can be said for Bam Bam Adebayo, a raw big man with a high motor. Harry Giles has spent most of the summer injured, but there is no denying his talent.

Eron Gordon, Aaron Augustin, Adrian Moore, and Tyus Battle are four guards that begin the top ten to No. 14 in what looks to be a class dominated by guards early. All of these prospects show the ability to score the ball, while also getting their teammates involved. Jayson Tatum, a smooth wing from St. Louis, comes in at No. 15. He already knows the game well, but he still has a lot of developing to do with his body.

Closing out the Top 25 is Dedric Lawson, Ben Coupet, Jr., Joe Hampton, Derryck Thornton, Reakwon Long, Mark Vital, Rakym Felder, Al Eichelberger, Tracy Burnett, and Dyaire Holt.

Expect these guys to be the solid Top 25 when the list expands to 50 in the coming months.

Check out Malik Monk, from Lepanto, Arkansas

He is the younger brother of former Razorback Wideout Marcus Monk, who also played powerforward for the Razorbacks. He’s the best player on the court as a freshman, and has elite ball handling.
