Birmingham, AL (Future150) -- Now that high school basketball has been finished for a month now and the Spring AAU season started, Future150 takes a look at the Alabama 2025 class. This class might be the most talented group from top to bottom than any class in the state.
Lets take a look at who made the Top 10 list and what each player brings to the table.
Future150's Alabama Top 10 List Class 2025
The #1 spot goes to the Dothan High product PF JD Palm. He stands 6-footo-9 inches tall, has a wiry frame and is one of the more skilled players in his class nationwide. He can score on all three levels and rebounds at a high level. At the moment, Palm is more of a stretch 4 man but as his guard skills continue to grow he could very easily move to the win on a more consistent bases. He holds offers from Alabama and Auburn to name a few.
Checking in at #2 on the list is PF D'Wayne Brown of Hoover High School. Brown is 6-foot-9 inches tall and has a nice body which allows him to bang in the paint. He rebounds the ball well and has good post moves when finishing around the rim. As his athleticism and skill level grows, look for his game to make a big jump over the next 12 months.
The Birmingham native PG Payton Wiggins is the #3 player on the list. He is a 6-foot-2 inch point guard who attend Huffman High and let his team to the State Championship game. Wiggins plays with a ton of energy, attacks off the dribble and loves scoring in transistion. As his shot making becomes more consistent, look for his game development to soar this summer.
When you think about the game of basketball and your looking for a wing player, look no further than SF Simon Walker of James Clemons out of Huntsville. He checks in at #4 on the list and is a 6-foot-6 inch sharp shooter who has good court vision. As his athleticism increases over time so will his ability to become a better defender. The upside to this prospects game is scary.
The Central Phoenix City High School product SG JaCoby Hill is the #5 prospect on the list. Hill is a 6-foot-4 inch scoring machine at times and plays rock solid defense. You want the ball in his hands with game on the line due to he can go get you a bucket if need be. His game has a ton of upside to go along with his frame. Look for him to take the next steps this summer and could make a move up the list fast.
Rounding out the Top 10 in the class is the McAdory High School product #6 CF Jacobe Whitted. At #7 on the list is SG Anderson Wilken from Northridge High School. The Glencoe native PF Colt Russell is the #8 prospect. Coming in at #9 is SG Joseph King of Helena High School. And rounding out the top 10 at #10 is CG Saleem London of Hoover High School.
