Guntersville, AL (Future150) -- The 2019 Future150 Tournament Series was back for its 12th year and got started in Guntersville, AL at the Spring Grind Session.  The tournament featured players from all over the state of Alabama in 17U-12U Boys and 17U Girls.

The 16-Under boys division was dominated by the Alabama Celtics.  They faced SSBA out of the host facility Supreme Courts and won 76-43 in blow out fassion.

Lets take a look at the top performers on the weekend and how they faired.

Russell Marr- 2021, SG of the Bama Sonics is a pure scoring guard who can flat out score the rock. He has enough wiggle in his game to keep his defenders honest while scoring at will.  His mid range game is deadly and tough to stop off the bounce. He had the game of the tournament scoring 40 points and hitting 9 threes in a tough loss 103-98.

Jaxen White- 2021, G of the Bama Sonics does a little bit of everything for his team.  Scores on the fast break, plays solid defense and can make open shots.  He averaged 15 points per game during the tournament which helped his team to the championship game.

Jerrell Williamson- 2023, PG of SSBA is a big bodied power player. He loves getting downhill on his defender and using his body and athleticism to finish at the rim. He can knock down the open three ball if you leave him open.  Playing hard nose defense, making plays and rebounding on the defensive end are things that stand out in his game. He averaged 14 points and 6 rebounds on the weekend.

Bryan Bennett- 2021, SG of Alabama Celtics was one of the top players in the gym on Saturday. He is wiry, long and a freak athlete. Scoring off the dribble and finishing at the rim is where he did most of his damage.  His motor is what stands out when he's on the floor. He averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds per game for the weekend. He takes home MVP honors.

AJ Hall- 2021, G of the Alabama Celtics is a glue guy who makes the team run.  He can make open shots and has a nice feel.  His abilty to score on the fast break, gets steals and play on both ends of the floor is what makes him a intriguing prospect.  He averaged 10 points and 4.5 rebounds on the weekend.

Brandon Howard- 2021, SG of the Alabama Celtics is a big bodied guard who likes to hang out around the three point line.  At times he is a streaky shooter who can get hot and boy did he ever in bracket play.  In the 2 bracket games he averaged 4 threes per game to go along with his 5 rebounds.  His play helped propel his team to the championship.
