Last week 2015 Trenton Catholic (NJ) wing Malachi Richardson cut his list down to six schools: Indiana, Villanova, Connecticut, Arizona, Rutgers, and Syracuse. A little over a week later and it appears that Richardson is set to make his decision public, announcing at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon.

Indiana:  The Hoosiers have been players up to this point, hosting Richardson on a couple of unofficial visits. While they could really use his size and shooting on the perimeter it would appear that they are on the outside looking in.

Villanova: The local team has been recruiting him hard since his freshman year and will surely trying to convince him to stay in the area and become the next star guard in a long line of talented group under Jay Wright. They have put so much time into landing him they must be considered as one of the favorites.

Connecticut: Richardson visited for midnight madness and the Huskies have to be considered in the top three for his services. Like most guards he likes the fact that Kevin Ollie is the head coach and the style that they play in.

Arizona: While the Wildcats are enjoying their most recent player from Team Final (Ronde Hollis-Jefferson) it doesn’t look like Richardson will be following his AAU teammate to Tuscon. Don’t feel too bad though, as Arizona is involved with plenty of top talent from around the nation.

Rutgers: Another somewhat local program, it is impressive enough that they made the final six just based on where they were just a few months ago. That being said it’s hard to think they will pull this one off with so many other major programs involved. That being said, he and Leroy Butts would be a great start to the 2015 class.

Syracuse: The presumed favorites after Richardson announced he would decide just a week after visiting their campus. They already have landed 2015 F Tyler Lydon and Richardson could play alongside him, forming a great shooting duo and a monster start to the 2015 class for the Orange.

Welp, there you have it. By tomorrow we will know the actual destination for Richardson. Whoever lands him will get a a big and athletic shooting guard who has in the gym range.
