2016 SF Darius Hicks of Quitman High School (MS) burst onto the radar at Future150 Birmingham Camp last fall as a physically built jumping jack. Now, he has grown and is taking his game to the next level. The now 6-foot-7, 205-pounder has heard from a bevy of SEC schools recently, all of which see the value of what he can become.

“Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi State have called my coach recently,” he told me. While he is already hearing from some of the best schools in the country, he still hopes to hear from two of his dream schools.

“I’d love to hear from Kansas and North Carolina because of their tradition and their up-tempo style of play,” he went on to say.

For now, he’s out to prove to everyone that he’s an elite prospect in his class. Currently ranked #27 in his class by Future150, he is focused on a big July. Look for him to destroy rims at both the Peach State Showcase and Nationals in Orlando next month.
