Kavonte is an exciting talent.  Honestly I only caught him in 2 games, but Jason Pratt loved his game.  I think Ivery will have every opportunity to fight for college scholarships.

Good size, very agile.  He is quick enough to get by players and shoots well enough to be dangerous outside.  For me the thing that always separates elite from good players is…‘How well do they defend their position?’    I didn’t watch Kavonte closely enough to have a read on his defense, but I would focus on that because everybody will be able to score a bit in college.  Can he stay on the floor?  Coaches only play defensive liabilities if they score 25 ppg.

I like Kavonte Ivery.  To begin, he has good size.  If he does not grow at all he must be a wing.  At 6’5” he can easily play SF in college.  He has great natural strength already.

When it comes to skills he needs to improve shooting off the dribble.  It is hard.  Almost all scorers need to work on this.  He also could finish better with the left hand in traffic.  Intangibles are wonderful.  High motor, great rebounding, on-ball defense.

The one thing all guys his size struggle with is defending quicker wings on the perimeter.  He will go from a D2/Low Major player to MM or higher IF he can keep quick guards/small forwards from penetrating.  This will enable him to stay on the court for long stretches for any college.

Hope this helps.
