An interesting overlooked big, 2015 Jack Lieb (IL) is experiencing a late surge in interest. Lieb is a 6’10” stretch 4, who likes to pop out for jumpshots.
“In the last 48 hours he has Appalachian State and SIUE offers,” said father Andy Lieb.
Illinois State and Brown are still committed to their offers. Lieb’s father credits Illinois Wolves AAU Coach Mike Mullins will much of Jack’s development in this wonderful game.
“He is very well respected amongst college coaches,” said Lieb’s father.
Last June Lieb endured an ACL injury. The rehab was terrific and he has recovered well. Still Lieb missed his entire senior season, thus the late interest.
Will he visit?
“It is about timing,” said Mr. Lieb. “He has a family function and senior prom coming up. Coaches were calling the last several days. We might just have to take off a day of school, I hate to do it. But there are not many days left (for visits).”
Lieb will take a visit to Boston University, likely next Saturday. This upcoming weekend Lieb will compete at the Spiece Run’N'Slam in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Though colleges can not evaluate this weekend a strong performance could net him more offers.
