Future 150 guys what players in the class of 2014 do you know UConn has shown a good amount of interest in? Then of those players do you think that they are pipe dreams, a little chance, a pretty good chance, or a serious contender.

A couple of guys I definitely know Kevin Ollie and his staff would like to get is Ahmed Hill and Daniel Hamilton. Those may be the top two targets. Hamilton is probably a long-shot due to distance, but I have been told Hill is a real possibility.

Another name to keep an eye out on is Jared Terrell. I doubt he ends up there, but he could be a sleeper

I agree with Garrett that they are targeting Hill and Hamilton and that Hill would be more likely to end up there due to distance. Daniel has also expressed an interest in playing with his brother in college, which could put UTEP in great position.

Moving forward don’t be surprised if you hear UConn linked with Elijah Staley, he’s AAU teammates with Hill and they took a visit to Alabama together.

Thanks for the answers! Do you guys think that they have a chance with Abdul Malik-Abu and Jordan McLaughlin? They made McLaughlin’s most recent cut list and they seem to be in a good spot with Abdul.

I would say a better chance with McLaughlin. UConn will always be involved with high level guards nationally with guys like Ben Gordon, A.J. Price, Ray Aleen, and Kemba Walker, Etc. coming through there. In addition it is thought that Abu and AAU teammate Jared Terrell are very interested in playing with each other and while UConn is trying to become serious players I’m not sure how interested either of them are

Alright I got another question for you guys. UConn has been going after three players at Whitney Young High School. The players are the obvious Jahlil Okafor with LJ Peak and Paul White. Have you guys heard of any of them saying that they may want to play together? Also do you guys think UConn has a chance at any of them realistically or are they focusing on other players at their positions more?
