You have one Arizona player in your 2015 Future 150 rankings and its not 2015 6’5"185 PG Jalen Jenkins Burkett Mesa High who has been and is the top 2015 player in that class. I think that he should be in your 2015 rankings in the top 15. Thank you

Arizona’s Top 15 High School Players Regardless of Class
HS players take notes! GMS of NBA teams are looking at 3 things besides if you can ball!
1. What kind of teammate are they?
2. What is their character like?
3. Do they love the game, live it and breathe it?

My upcoming reports will be:

I will rank my top 2013 players to watch for the next NBA draft. I will update the watch list when the season starts.
On July 15-19 I will be going to Las Vegas to attend the NBA summer league. I will be hanging out with the Suns director of player personnel. It’s not an internship, but it’s as close as you get. I will ask him if I can assist the SUNS in anyway I can. Possibly give him a top 10 list of undrafted free agents.

Besides starting to work for http://arizona.scout.com/ in the fall, Rick Bolus from http://www.kyprephoops.com/BolusRankings.html asked me to rank the top 15 AZ kids and then rank the 20 next 2013, the 15 next 2014 and the 10 next 2015 kids. I also put in 5 2016 kids. So, with the help of one of the top AAU coaches in AZ(John Ortega), John also is the assistant varsity coach of Desert Mountain HS in Scottsdale, and the games I saw, I put this list together. My rankings will be up on the website in mid August when Rick updates all the other states and will finally include AZ!!

This list is based on college/pro potential.

TOP 15 PLAYER FOR SURE! IN THE 2015 CLASS

Fullcourt Press Arizona Frosh/Soph Showcase Top 2015 Prospect

HOOPSREPORT’S FROSH/SOPH SHOWCASE MVP REGARDLESS OF CLASS: Jalen Jenkins Burkett 6’4 (W/G)Mesa (Mesa, AZ)

Jalen Jenkins 6-4 SOPH PG Mesa HS – Jalen is supposed to be the top player in the state in his class with an Arizona State offer already on his resume.  After the 2 days, he didn’t disappoint anyone.  Jalen, at this point of his career, has no equal athletically in the state for players in the 2015 class.  With his 6-4 height, to go along with his 6-6 wingspan and a tremendous vertical leap, you can see why he is a handful.  But that doesn’t define who he is as a player.  Two things will define him going forward - his pure vision as a true PG, which you rarely see in today’s game, and his high motor.  He is relentless with everything he does.  He does not stop guarding you, or trying to pursue a rebound on the glass or hustling for a loose ball.  The lefty is developing an outside shot to his game to keep the defense honest.  Right now his elbow jumper is his best shot He basically can blow by anyone he wants to at will, but he has to keep improving.  Off the court, he is a very humble and fine young man.  He is a high major prospect.

NAU offered Mesa’s Jalen Jenkins Burkett (2015) and Isaac Allen (2014) this past weekend. The Lumberjacks have now offered three players on the Mesa 2013 roster . Mesa’s DJ Henderson (2013) is the third.

Jalen Jenkins Burkett top 2015 prospect in Arizona will see St Mary’s, Oregon State, Arizona, New Mexico & Arizona State this week

Since this is “Vegas” Premierball, we drove out there with the intention to cover the Local kids making the trip. There were some AZ players that caught our attention including 6’5″ Jalen Jenkins who has an offer from Arizona State on the table. He was head and shoulders above everyone in terms of athleticism.

Jalen Jenkins Burkett 6’4 (W/G) Mesa (Mesa, AZ) 2015
Jalen was remarkable from his first game to his final game. Physically, Jalen is a tough draw for anyone as his supreme athleticism, speed, quickness and GOD given abilities put just about any one guarding him at a dis advantage. Jalen brought out all stops as he dominated anytime that he was in the game with a number of deep three’s as well as the usual drive to the basket only to finish with a crowd pleasing thunderous throwdown. Jalen is an ELITE LEVEL PROSPECT that will definitely become a house hold name across the country by the end of spring 2013.
