After a strong summer, highlighted by adding several offers each day, Darin Johnson is starting to cut things down a little bit. On Thursday, the 6-foot-3 combo guard out of Sheldon High School (CA) narrowed his schools down to 13 suitors.

“I am down to Oregon, Texas A&M, Marquette, Arizona, USC, Colorado, Gonzaga, Washington State, Oregon State, Arizona State, San Diego State, Utah & UTEP. That is no specific order.”

Johnson plans to take a few visits, but right now he only has one planned. He will travel to Eugene for an official visit to Oregon September 14-16. Expect other visits to be made in the fall, too.

“I want to have my list down to 6 or 7 schools about a month into high school.”

In response to Kahlil Dukes’ & Kendal Harris’ commitment to USC, Darin Johnson is no longer considering the Trojans.

Marquette has offered Johnson. They also scheduled an in-home visit with him Sept. 9th.

Expect them to be big players in his recruitment.
