Barefield is a monster in the open floor. His ball handling ability is fantastic and he has great court vision. He loves to score in transition but can knock down the open jumper if left alone. His strongest attribute might be his ability to run a team to perfection. He has a good pace to his game and has the basketball IQ to put his team in position to win.
At 6-foot he needs to focus on being a point guard and maybe hunt his shot a little less. Tends to over dribble at times and needs to get the ball out of his hands. Can dominate the ball and must learn how to play without the ball in his hands. Must get stronger and work on lateral quickness to become a better on ball defender.
