The wiry and athletic big man excels when running in transition. He is an excellent shot-blocker and is an extremely bouncy power forward prospect. He also is more than capable of stepping out and hitting 15 foot jumpers with consistency.
One of the main weaknesses in Malik's game is his lack of strength. If he is going to be a successful power forward on the college level, he will need to bulk up quite a bit. He also needs to add more post moves to his arsenal.
