Houston, TX (Future150) -- One of the breakout stars of our 2016 Houston Jr.Future150 Camp was 2021 shooting guard Chris Felix.
The 6'3", 150-pound wing is a gangly prospect with a versatile set of skills. A natural slasher who can defend multiple positions, he was extremly impressive throughout the weekend with his play.
Headed to Hightower High School (TX) next year, he's going to spend this spring and summer suiting up for the Houston Hoops AAU program.
"I want to help our team become one of the top AAU teams in the country this year, while continuing to work on my game offensively and defensively. We have really competitive practices with some of the top players' in the city of Houston on our team," he told Future150.
Currently averaging roughly 20 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists per game for his middle school team, he's getting ready to really explode on the AAU trail in the next few months.
A sports broadcaster at Lake Olympia Middle School, he's already planning on potentially majoring in that field when he gets to college, since he knows it's important to have a plan for when the ball stops bouncing.
His cousin, Carrick Felix, starred at Arizona State before being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2013 NBA Draft. Currently, he plays for the Long Island Nets of the NBA Development League.
With his long arms and thin frame, he looks to end up somewhere in the 6'5"-6'7" range.
"I think the best part of my game right now is my ability to score on all three levels and defend multiple positions," he went on to say when describing his game.
Stay tuned to Future150 as we follow the talented 14U Houston Hoops squad this spring and summer.
