Columbia, SC (Future150) -- As we get ready to head into AAU season, it's time to take a look at some of the best 2021 prospects on a state-by-state basis. First, we'd like to take a look at the Palmetto State and their latest stable of guards. At the top of the list is a Future150 Elite24 All-American Camp All-Star standout from our 2016 camp.

(1.) Tyler Rice, PG, Kelly Mill Middle School (SC): One of the best 2021 PG's in the nation, Rice possesses fantastic court vision and has a great understanding of the game for his youthful age. He still stands just under 6-foot, but his older brother Kaiden (committed to The Citadel) stands at around 6'6". If Tyler can just get to around 6'1 or so he will become even more of a matchup nightmare than what he already is.

(2.) Jacobi WrightCG, York Prep (SC): A flashy and strong playmaker, the 5'11" combo guard can make plays from either perimeter position. He really excels at flashing to the basket and scoring at the rim. He's also a hard-nosed defender who can lock up on the defensive end. Suiting up for CP3 on the AAU trail this spring and summer, you can expect him to spread his name farther than the Carolinas as a standout prospect.

(3.) DaVeon Thomas, SG, Lee Central Middle School (SC): Thomas was a standout at Future150's Elite24 Camp this past summer, and has continued to impress since then. His strong and sturdy frame allows him to draw and finish through contact quite often. He is a sneaky athlete, and loves to lock his man up on the defensive end. Thomas does all this and always has a smile on his face. He loves the game and has great potential to be a sought-after college prospect.

(4.) Joshua Beadle, SG, Cardinal Newman (SC): The lanky southpaw is really starting to see his stock rise over the past few months. He's an athletic scorer who has a ton of upside. By his looks alone, you can tell that he's going to continue to grow into his frame and could become one of the standout wings in the Southeast in due time.

(5.) Tysean Dawson, SG, Dent Middle School (SC): If you're looking for a strong and athletic wing prospect who is a defensive force, this is the guy for you. He's got an excellent frame and can also score the ball when necessary. He's very hard to stop when he's heading downhill and that just adds to his allure as a prospect that we will continue to monitor.

(6.) Adonis Davis, SG, Blackville-Hilda Middle School (SC): Davis is a powerful scoring guard that can contribute from all three levels. He uses his fantastic strength to bully people on the defensive and offensive glass, and is a great vocal leader, which is a good attribute considering how young he is. Many prospects don't figure out how to take over a leadership role until their junior or senior season, but Davis is definitely an exception.
