Chesnee, SC (Future150) -- 2019 G/F Zachary Baldinelli wrapped up his middle school career at Rainbow Lake (SC) recently, and lthough it didn’t end with a win there are still plenty of great things to take away from Zach’s last season before high school.

To begin, Zach scored 332 points this season breaking school and conference records. He finished the season out strong with averages of 19 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks per game, all while leading his team to a 15-2 record and a regional championship, while being named to his conference’s All-Star team.

Now as Zachary starts to prepare for his first season of high school basketball he let me in on his plans for the offseason.

“I definitely want to gain a lot more upper body strength, and maintaining my overall strength by continuing to work on my weaknesses,” Baldinelli told Future150.

Zach seems to be willing to work on his game no matter what it takes, that’s something that will help him tremendously when he starts getting looked at by different colleges. As he continued on about his offseason plans he started speaking on AAU.

“My hopes are to get a fourth state championship under my belt and win another national championship. Since I’m with a new AAU Organization (Carolina Bulls), I really want to help my team grow,” Baldinelli said. “I also plan to attend many camps for exposure and hopefully start getting looked at by colleges more often.”

The 2019 wing seems to have his head on straight on and off the court, which is a bigger deal than what most people think, especially at the age he is. Zach could look back and see how successful he was over the past few seasons and simply settle in, thinking his talents now are already good enough to compete at a high level these next four seasons. Instead, he plans on getting in the weight room and gym and work on his weaknesses to become an elite player. Zachary realizes he still needs to work on some things in his game to get the best out of himself, which makes him a hardworking player. He may not be at elite level yet as player but he does possess an elite attitude as a person which will translate over to Zach being very successful on the court in the future.
