Goldsboro, NC (Future150) -- Myron Carmon (Class of 2017, Wayne Christian School/ 13U NC Rising Prospects) is an emerging eighth grader, who is trying to make a name for his self.

This young ball player is a 5-foot-5 combo guard who has competed alongside big name players such as Damon Harge Jr. and Jordan Riley.

He has a smooth lefty shot and is very comfortable shooting it from mid-range.  His ability to get to the rim and finish with either hand is impeccable.

Although he has a lot of nice strengths, he also realizes that he has some weaknesses to improve upon.

“My weakness is my three point range,” he explained.  “It is something that I want to continue to progress and increase, through the next couple of years.”

Early on, Carmon has attended many camps and tournaments to help improve his overall game.

“I have attended events such as Scout Focus Camp, Boo Williams Tournament, Reebok Showdown Tournament, King James Tournament, Maryland Invitational Tournament, and 5 Star Camp,” he listed.  “I also plan to attend the Phenom and John Lucas upcoming camps.”

Carmon has a great outlook on the game of basketball and knows what it takes for him to standout as a player on the court.

“What makes me standout is my attitude, I don’t get frustrated when the game is close and I do what I have to do,” he proclaimed.  “I also don’t show when I am mad, I just let my game do the talking.”

His game has done the talking so far and he is becoming a more common name in all of middle school.  With all his hard work, he is going to be able to achieve all of his goals and hopefully attend the college he desires.

“My dream college is North Carolina, because my favorite player of all time went there, Michael Jordan,” he mentioned.  “Plus my family and I have always loved UNC.”

At this moment Carmon is in the class of 2017, but is considering a re-classification to the 2016 class.

For now he is still just a young player, putting in hard work, to hopefully become a big star one day.

I am so proud of my son. He lives to play basketball, he has always had the love for the sport since he could hold a ball in his hand. I just hope that he keep himself grounded and never lose himself in the mist of the fame.
