Birmingham, AL (Future150) -- The Memphis Wildcats (TN) outlasted the Alabama Shockers (AL) 39-34 in the championship game of the 13U division of the 2017 Main Event Birmingham. Led by star guard Terrance Jacobs, who scored 13 points, they left the event as the only undefeated team in their age division.

Tyrese Elliott, 2022 PG, MC Warriors (AL): The strong and explosive 6-foot point guard sealed the deal as one of the most electric point guards in the class of 2022 nationally up to this point. The game comes so easily to him that it looks like he's not always giving 100% effort, which makes him even more dangerous as he learns to play with more of a motor down the line. Overall, a great weekend for him.

Oscar Hayes III, 2022 PF, MC Warriors (AL): The 6'4" big man is the anchor to the powerful MC Warriors bunch, and there's a lot to like with him as he continues to develop. He's a relatively young prospect for his grade and already has excellent athleticism and footwork around the rim. With his current mobility, it's easy to see him playing on the wing in the future if he doesn't get quite tall enough to play in the low block in high school and beyond.

Terrance Callaway, 2022 SF, TNA Heat (AL): One of the stars of the division was the 6-foot wing prospect. Already possessing excellent strength and penetration ability, he was nearly impossible to stop when attacking the rim. On the defensive end, he played physical on-ball defense and was impressive as a rebounder on both ends of the floor as well.

Brady Dunn, 2022 SG Alabama Shockers (AL): The 5-foot-6 inch shooting guard had a big weekend leading his team with help of his teammates to the championhsip game. His height might be deceiving, but his shooting abilities from behind the arc will make you a believer. Smart, fundamental and a playmaker are all words that describe his game. If he gets time to set his feet, the shot is going in.

Caleb Paige, 2022 SG, Auburn Raptors (AL): The 5'11" wing prospect is a highly skilled scorer, and showed his abilities at the event in Alabama. He scored equally well at all three levels, and was the offensive leader for his team. While his foot speed is a work in progress, we are very excited about his long-term ability as long as he keeps working.

Caleb Gill2022 SF, Memphis Wildcats (TN): Gill had his game on full display in the championship game. His ability to isolate his defender and break him down while creating his shot helped him take over game.  He scored eight straight points while down nine to get his team back in the game while leading them to the championship. Shot maker, creator and finisher are all attributes that stand out.

Evan Smith2022 PG, Alabama Shockers (AL): Smith was a top three point guard in the division. His quickness, ball-handling and court vision made him almost impossible to stop. In the semi-final game, he controlled the game from start to finish in a tough physical game. He's a coaches dream.

Nasir 'Sumo' Scaife, 2022 SG, Nashville Stars (TN): A high-upside prospect, the 5'11" wing is going to see his game really take off over the next few years. Right now, he's at his best when attacking the rim and making plays on the defensive end, thanks in part to his length and aggressiveness. Based on bloodlines, we also expect him to stretch out several inches over the next few years.

Antjuan McKay, 2022 SG, Savannah Blue Chips (GA): The 6-foot wing had a very good weekend in Birmingham. In two particular games we viewed, he scored 13 points and 12 points, and did so by attacking the rim. By doing so, he was also able to create opportunities for himself at the free throw line, where he converted several free-throw chances.

Colin Turner, 2022 Post, HCBC (AL): The big man presence for his team, Turner stayed active around the rim on both ends of the floor. He worked tirelessly for position on the inside, and finished several nice plays around the basket throughout the weekend. On defense, he battled hard against bigger prospects as well, showing the kind of fire we love to see prospects play with.

Omarion Walker, 2022 SF, Jackson Lakers Elite (MS): Already with very good size for the wing position, the 6-foot small forward had his moments in Birmingham. In one particular game, he scored 11 points in a variety of ways. While we certainly do like his frame, he also showed a willingness on the defensive end for stretches that had us excited about his future as well.

Treyvon Davis, 2022 PG/SG, Core 9 Wolfpack (AL): The strong and fearless combo guard was most impressive as a slasher last weekend. He got to the rim with ease and had no problem finishing against much bigger defenders. Defensively, he stayed engaged and active, backing down from nobody in the process. Look for him to emerge as a vocal leader in the future.

Kobie Stringer, 2022 SF, Enterprise Thunder (AL): The small forward prospect showed his capability as a scorer over the weekend, which included a huge 22 point performance in a close loss to the TNA Heat. He got baskets on all three levels, and showed that he's also very adept at getting to the free-throw line when he wants.

Kenderick Carter, 2022 G/F, Monroe Select Elite (LA): Carter was highly impressive slashing the lane and getting to the rim on command during multiple occasions this past weekend. At 5’5” he doesn’t have the best size for a wing, but he used his speed and craftiness to get plenty of buckets for his team. If Carter hits a growth spurt and continues to develop his game, he will become a very intriguing young prospect.

Chris Martin, 2022 PG, NPAC Redhawks (TN): The 5'6" point guard prospect was the catalyst for his team all weekend. In two games where he was most impressive, he outputted 17 and 16 point totals, while also getting his teammates the basketball in good positions to score. Look for him to continue to grow and mature over the next year.

Luke Ward, 2022 SG, North Alabama Stars (AL): The long shooting guard prospect proved to be an effective scorer throughout his weekend at Main Event Birmingham. He was able to score the basketball on all three levels and picked his spots well on the offensive end. Defensively, he must continue to work on his foot speed but showed that he's solid when getting in passing lanes.

Tim Buchanon, 2022 G/F, Chattanooga Elite (TN): Standing around 6’0”, Buchanon has solid size on the wing and showed his abilities to knock the mid-range jump shot with ease. He was a solid defender and rebounder, and was always looking to make the right play on offense. Buchanon is a very fundamental player, and at his age, this is a great thing to see as he seems to understand the game quite well.

Terrance Jacobs Jr., 2022 PG, Memphis Wildcats (TN): Even though Jacobs was usually the smallest player on the floor at all times, he didn’t let that stop him from having a great, productive weekend. His ball-handling skills were highly impressive along with his ability to read and break down the defense. A growth spurt would be nice to see over the next year or so, but either way he is very fun to watch.

George Marshall, 2022 SG, Jackson Pride (MS): Marshall was a pest on the defensive end all throughout the weekend and also showed that he was capable of scoring from all three levels on the offensive end. By far not the tallest or strongest guard in the 13U division, he still found ways to make an impact whenever he was on the floor.

Earnest Hillman, 2022 PF, Memphis Dragons (TN): Hillman has solid size for a post at his age standing around 6'1". He used his height and length to get plenty of easy buckets over the top of shorter defenders all weekend long. He was a good rebounder on both ends of the floor, and grabbed plenty of offensive rebounds that led to second chance buckets.

Denzel Chatman2022 SG, Ducks Elite (AL): A talented 6-foot-1 scoring guard, Chatman has already shown the ability to knock down threes and get to the rim. He also handled the ball very well and made a couple of nice passes. It looks as though he's wired to score, and could be one of the more intriguing players in his state for 2022.
