Henderson, NV (Future150) -- One of the nation's most talented middle school players in recent years is Marvin Bagley III.

Currently the top-ranked prospect in the class of 2018, the Arizona-native spent the weekend in Las Vegas with his family, visiting the Findlay Prep team and campus.

Bagley's father, Marvin Jr, spoke with JrFuture150.com about his son's visit to Findlay Prep over the weekend.

"It's a four hour drive to Vegas from our home in Phoenix," said Bagley Jr. "We decided to make a weekend of it."

Bagley Jr. and his three sons were invited by Findlay Prep head coach Jerome Williams and staff to attend the Pilots game against in-state power, and rival, Bishop Gorman on Friday night.

"We met Jerome at NBA All-Star Weekend several years ago, Marvin was just a little guy, but we kept in touch," commented Bagley Jr. "We've been planning the visit for at least a month."

Now a 6-foot-9 eighth grader, Bagley III is a lefty with a rapidly developing skill set, as well as elite athleticism and explosiveness.

Regardless of his own talent, Bagley III was still impressed by the older players on the court during the Findlay-Gorman game according to his father.

"[My sons] told me it was the best high school game they had ever watched. It was a great basketball experience," added the elder Bagley.

The Bagleys also took in a Findlay Prep practice on Saturday, and spent the remainder of the weekend visiting with the team, and touring the facilities.

"It definitely is an option for [Marvin III]," said Bagley Jr. "We were very impressed [with Findlay] but [Marvin III] is only fourteen years old. The high school he chooses will be a family decision."

So while Bagley III remains undecided on his high school destination, his father did make it clear that both Marvin and Marcus will again play with Tennessee-based, We All Can Go All-Stars, on the travel circuit.

With the Bagleys in the fold, both W.A.C.G. teams are expected to compete for eighth grade, and sixth grade AAU National Championships, respectively.

"Marcus loves his [W.A.C.G.] teammates, and Marvin III has one year of middle school left. The teams are going to travel together a lot. It will be fun. We're going to enjoy it," Bagley Jr ended.
