Decatur, AL (Future150) -- Being blessed with an all around athletic body is fairly rare.
Marquise Mitchell is a 6-foot-1, 175 pound guard out of Decatur, Alabama that is a pure example of a player with a strong, muscular body. He is an exceptional competitor on the court.
This young star is a 2012 Jr. Future150 Nashville Camp Alum where he showed us his overall game and how he uses is gifted frame.
Mitchell is a good shooter and ball-handler, but his best ability may be the way he attacks the basket. His drive to rim is ferocious. He gets there with speed and ability, plus finishes with the great strength.
He is a well rounded player, but knows that he has to keep working on his skills, so that he is able to get his game to next level.
“I need to work in improving my three shot consistency, he advised. “I am somewhat passive with the ball and I tend to force plays.”
The goal is for his talents to carry him to his dream school one day.
“I really like Kansas, because they are a good program and they provide the type of education that I want,” Mitchell explained.
Last year in middle school Mitchell did a lot of scoring for his team. On average he was able to obtain 20 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds per game, which ended up being a real big boost to his team.
The young player plans to come back to more Future150 camps in the coming years so that he can continue improving his talents and also get lots of more exposure.
This incoming freshman is going to be someone to look out for and will likely end up being a highly sought after recruit.

Good job Marquise. Continue to work hard and remember hard work pays off.
Wow. It’s crazy scary at how good this guy will be and in very little time. Marquise has the skill set to be a big time prospect, expect to see great things from this guy and get use to seeing it on a regular basis. Mitchell is just that good.
