Newark, NJ (Future150) -- Not every kid has the abilities and skills to stand out it in middle school.
Luther Muhammad is a very talented guard who has made a real name for himself and is becoming a rising seventh grader.
Muhammad is rated as the 10th best overall player in the 2018 Jr. Future150 Rankings.
This 6-foot-1 shooting guard has the ability to score practically anywhere on the court. He hits the lane hard and finishes at the basket with great strength.
Handling the ball and passing is also very strong points in his game; also something that should not be forgotten is his relentless defense.
“I feel that I attack the basket well, play really hard defense, and score when my team needs points,” he mentioned.
There are lots of strengths to his game, but there a few things that Muhammad himself knows that he would like to work on.
“I want to continuing making my overall game better by improving my ball handling, learning to stay under control, and building my body mass.
When comparing himself to a NBA player, Muhammad set the bar high with the answer he provided.
“I tend to relate my basketball game to LeBron James because he can score at will, yet keep his teammates involved like me,” Muhammad explained.
With the toughness and skills Muhammad has, he is hoping that those abilities will take him to his favorite college one day.
“I really like the University of Kentucky, because a lot of great players have came from that school and I would like to be one of those players one day,” Muhammad claimed.
This young guy has a great overall game and is going to keep working hard to achieve his dreams.
“I work hard, I love competition, and I just love the game of basketball.”
