Houston, TX (Future150) -- It is no secret that Houston has been one of the largest hotbeds of high profile recruits over the last 10-15 years. Numerous high-major players have came out of Houston lately, players like Andrew Harrison (Kentucky), Aaron Harrison (Kentucky), Rasheed Sulaimon (Duke), and Dameyon Dotson (Oregon), just to name a few.

One player who would love to add his name to the list is 2020 G/F Isaiah LeBlanc. Isaiah, despite his youth, has shown the ability to play at an extremely high level. He had a solid summer playing for GOD First Crusaders 2020 and looks to continue that success at Baines Middle School this season.

“To become one of the best, you must study and emulate what the best players do. I love to train and work on my game. I’m blessed to have one of the best trainers in the game of basketball, who consistently pushes me to raise my game, athleticism, and I.Q.” Isaiah said.

There is no doubt that LeBlanc wants to be one of the best, his work ethic shows that desire. After all, he is working hard to model his game after NBA stars such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Derrick Rose.

“Having a father who was a pro, I’ve grown up in the gym and seen people close to me who have used the game of basketball to help them realize their dreams in life. We are blessed in the U.S. unlike most people worldwide. At a young age I understand you will get out of this game exactly what you put in. So as my Dad says, I am investing in myself, everyday I work on my art or craft. If I continue to do the right things on and off the court and give maximum effort in all I do, one day I will see the multiple returns and the fruit of my labor.”

Isaiah’s coach had the following to say about LeBlanc’s game.

“Isaiah is a natural born-leader. Adults and kids gravitate to his presence off the court. Although he is in the early stages of potentially developing into a great athlete and basketball player, “Deuce” does a great job of not letting that define who he is as a person. Rooted in spirituality, he has a highly competitive nature and is the son of a former pro athlete who now coaches, trains, and mentors him. He is thirsty for knowledge and blessed to have great basketball resources around him, including the ability to consistently train with other great players as well as a legendary NBA player and coach.”

Even though it is early, Isaiah has a list of schools he hopes to hear from as he continues to progress. Schools such as Duke, Kentucky, Georgetown, Kansas, Texas, North Carolina, UCLA, Arizona, Texas A&M, LSU, Houston, Stanford, Vanderbilt, and UConn.

Scouts Notes:

- LeBlanc is a versatile player with a long frame. He is extremely unselfish, has a high basketball I.Q., and possesses the ability to play multiple positions. He has above average ball-handling skills and demonstrates natural playmaking ability. As he continues to grow and develop, he will need to get better at creating his own shot in the half-court and needs to play with a high level of energy at all times. He has the potential to be a mid-major to high-major player with continued development.
