Houston, TX (Future150) -- While it is extremely early, 2020 CG Antown Norman is showing that he has the potential to be one of the top players in Texas in the years to come. Norman, who attends Albert Thomas Middle School, has quickly put himself on the map regionally; now, the whole country is starting to take notice.

The 5-foot-6 guard is one of the hardest working players in the Houston area and his hard work is paying off.

“Antown is a very talented kid who works hard at developing all of his gifts. He is one of the top athletes in his 2020 class in the state of Texas right now. Norman is a top ten state ranked player that does all the little things to make his team better.

A lot of people are attracted to his offensive abilities, (10 plus 30 point games last season, including a 33 point effort vs. #9 AAU nationally ranked 2020 squad), but what scouts notice right away is his fearless, relentless, and aggressive competitive nature. Despite the intensity he plays with he is a great student and great young man all around,” Norman’s AAU Coach Michael LeBlanc shared with Future150.

Even with all the success Norman has encountered, he continues to remain focused on improving his game.

“I once heard somewhere, “Use the gym and the game of basketball to educate yourself on and off the court.” As Kevin Durant said, “Hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard.” I try to play every game and live life working as hard as I possibly can to succeed,” he shared.

Norman, who plays AAU for God First Crusaders, is determined to showcase his skill set every time he steps on the court. He is the type of player who plays with a high motor, he has shown the ability to be a great shooter when his number is called, and he works hard on the defensive end of the court.

“I like to model my game after players such as Kyrie Irving, LeBron James and (my AAU Coach & Trainer) Michael LeBlanc,” he added.
Even though it is extremely early in his recruitment, he lists Louisville, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, University of Houston, Texas A&M, Michigan, Oregon, Alabama, and Baylor as his early favorites.
