Huntsville, AL (Future150) -- The 2019 class is still young enough to where a lot of players can emerge from out of nowhere to become a major player in the class.  But most of the top players have been on the scene for a while and continue to get better.

In the case of 6’0 PG Kira Lewis, he’s coming from nowhere and ready to get into the mix.  The Alabama native has been making noise in his city for years, but after the spring he’s had his name ringing bells everywhere.

Kira is a lengthy, lockdown defender. PG.  With his length Lewis can get into the passing lane and create steals, or just be an on-ball defensive monster.

In his younger days Lewis was known to dominate games without scoring by using passing ability.  Now that he has become a more aggressive scorer he’s really hard to stop.

For his school team Lewis averaged 17 points per game with a season high of 36 points.  When asked what his goals were for the summer Kira answered, “my goal is to be ranked, and get college coaches to notice me.”

Both are goals that are in reach with a game like his.  He’s definitely on the heels of a lot of players ranked ahead of him and he’s determined to get their spot.

Kentucky is Lewis' dream school and hard work is a pillar of his game preparations.

“Right now I'm working on my shooting and being able to run a team better," said Lewis.

With these attributes mixed with his athleticism, scoring ability, and defense his only issue would be how high will he be ranked.
