Houston, TX (Future150) -- Since their first game of the tournament, the South Louisiana Select squad did an outstanding job of playing as a team and winning games.

Led by guard Victor Dupre, the Select captured the 12U championship on Sunday, as they defeated the Houston Cowboys.

Here are the standouts from the 12U division...

Victor Dupre, 2020 SG, South Louisiana Select: Dupre was one of the more talented kids we saw in this age group. The 5-foot-5 guard did a lot of things well, but he did most of his damage slashing to the rim and making plays. He handles the basketball very well for a player his age. His quickness and speed were hard to match for other young guards.

Justin Kennerson, 2020 SF, South Louisiana Select: There wasn’t a more rounded player in 12U ball than Justin Kennerson. The 5-foot-8 forward was very versatile, as he could play anywhere from the 1-5. He was a tough matchup for bigger players because of his skill-set and fundamental game, and he was too physical for opposing guards to handle.

Clay Baldwin, 2020 PG, Southland Stallions: Baldwin was another guard that excelled with the ball in his hands, especially in transition. The 5-foot-5 point guard led the break and finished for himself, as well as dishing off to teammates. Baldwin was the best at breaking down the defense and finishing at the rim.

Jazz Williams, 2020 PG, Southland Stallions: He is a solid point guard who is cat-quick and can handle the ball. He is a bit undersized but makes up for it with his ability to get into the lane and his toughness.

Aaron Davis, 2019 SF, Houston Cowboys: He is a physical defender who grabs rebounds on both ends of the floor and finished shots around the rim throughout the weekend.

Nik Ellis, 2020 PG, Houston Cowboys: Ellis helped lead his team to a surprise run throughout the bracket thanks to his great vision and playmaking ability. He is exceptionally quick and understands how to run the offense. He was the engine that made his team go throughout the weekend.
