Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- The third Future150 Tournament kicked off this past weekend in Atlanta, showcasing tons of talented teams and prospects. Plenty of players put their name onto the radar after some big time performances.

The 12U division was very exciting and was dominated by guards and pure scorers, but there was only one team that could come out as the champion.

The Georgia United Stars ran away with the Championship game on Sunday, defeating the Savannah Tigers. Georiga United got some big time contributions from 2022 CG Jyshaun Melvin, who made some big time plays. Melvin is a tough player to keep off the scoring sheet. He scored on all three levels this weekend, but his favorite and most reliable thing was his three point jumper. Melvin's IQ, ball-handling, and deadly scoring instinct could turn him into a very intriguing player once he starts to grow and get stronger.

Here are the other players that stood out in the 12U Division from this weekend as well:

Auther Johnson2023 PG, Georgia Knockouts: Johnson, who is only a 5th grader used his crafty ball-handling and slashing abilities to showcase his elite playmaking abilities this weekend. He could also hit the jumper from mid-range and deep. He always gave 110% on both ends of the floor. Once Johnson begins to mature and grow, he could be a very special player. Definitely a young prospect to keep an eye on.

Zion Powers2021 PF, Savannah Tigers: Powers showcased his tough nosed style of play in Atlanta. Even though he's only 5'9, he rebounded the ball with strength all weekend long. He got to the line so many times because of his second and third chance efforts on the offensive glass. If Powers can grow and get stronger he will be a menace for other teams to go against.

Lukas Platauna2021 SG, Savannah Tigers: Platauna didn't have any super big performances, but what really stood out is his maturity for a 7th grader. Lukas really understood the game, and didn't take hardly any bad shots, which is quite common among younger players. He has a sweet stroke from deep, and needs to build upon that to expand his game even more.

Austin Montgomery2022 PG, HCBC: Montgomery was a breath of fresh air as he would try to do whatever neccessary for his team to win. Even though we list him as a lead guard, if he grows he could be versatile enough to play the one, two, or even the three. He can score of the dribble, and also has the ability to slash into the lane. He is only in 6th grade, which should make him intriguing depsite being only 5'3.
