Elite24 Camp Standout Shannon Lowery Hungry For Stardom

Pottsville, PA (Future150) -- The 2016 Future150 Elite24 Camp was littered with rising stars in the class of 2021, with many of them projecting to be stars at the high school level and beyond. One of those impressive young talents was small forward Shannon Lowery, who has a very high ceiling in the game.

Having recently sprouted an inch to 6'4", the eighth grader is growing into a natural wing and putting the work in along the way.

"What I'm working on right now is shooting, both off-the-dribble and catching and shooting from the perimeter. I'm also working on improving my left hand," he told Future150.

The Brooks Wester Middle School (TX) standout is a rising star in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and the natural slasher is just getting started.

"This year, I'm trying to win every tournament we play in, and individually, my goal is to become a top five player in the nation by the end of the summer."

While that statement may raise some eyebrows, he certainly isn't short on potential. Now, it's a matter of fulfilling it. 

Currently, he's averaging over 20 points and 10 rebounds per game this season, which is unsurprising after seeing how much his game has grown over the summer and fall months.

"I try to model my game after Kevin Durant & LeBron James," he told Future150.

If Shannon continues to grow and improve over the next few years, don't be surprised to hear the next wave of Elite24 Camp standouts modeling their game after him.
