Dallas, TX (Future150) -- The Elite Academy Ducks had a very strong weekend in the 12U division and eventually captured the title led by Draelyn Mosley, who may have been the best overall prospect in the 12U division. Also a major factor for the Ducks was guard Brandon Nave who has a very mature game for his age and was very tough to stop when engaged. See below which other prospect showed out in the 12U division!

Future150 Dallas Battleground 12U All-Tournament Team:

Draelyn Mosley, 2023 Post, Elite Academy Ducks
Brandon Nave, 2023 Guard, Elite Academy Ducks
Phillip Hamilton, 2023 Guard, DME Elite
Jaylen Haynes, 2024 Guard, PHB Adidas
Christopher Head, 2024 Guard, Pack Elite

Future150 Dallas Battleground 12U Honor Roll:

Draelyn Mosley, 2023 Post, Elite Academy Ducks (TX): There's a lot to like about the athletic 6-foot post prospect, who was most effective as a defensive stopper and a rebounder during his weekend in Dallas. He also showed that he can finish around the rim, and should only get better as he gets more coordination over the next year.

Brandon Nave, 2023 G, Elite Academy Ducks (TX): The 5'7" combo guard was impressive all weekend long thanks to his scoring prowess and overall offensive skills. He's a reliable point guard with the ball, but he specializes in his scoring while also showing off his solid ball skills. It's clear that he understands the game and knows when his teammates should get the ball on the offensive end.

Phillip Hamilton, 2023 G, DME Elite (TX): Hamilton has a strong frame for a guard at his age, and he used this strength to his advantage throughout the weekend by finishing at the rim through contact. As a rising 7th grader, it would be nice to see him grow a couple more inches before he gets to high school. Big things ahead for Hamilton.

Jaylen Haynes, 2024 G, PHB Adidas (TX): Playing up as a 5th grader, Haynes stood out because of his aggressive, work-horse style of play, along with his elite three point shooting. It's obviously difficult to project a prospect at this age, but Haynes definitely has a great skill set and overall feel for the game to be a very good two way guard as he gets older and continues to grow and develop his game.

Christopher Head, 2024 Wing, Pack Elite (TX): Standing around 5'7", Head was rebounding, running the floor, and finishing around the rim on a consistent basis for Pack Elite. His basketball IQ as a 5th grader is highly impressive and his long arms at 5'7" is definitely a good sign of a growth spurt coming soon for Head. We hope to see him continue to grow and develop over these next few years, as there is definitely some upside and potential with this young gun.
