Catching up with Jordan Mitchell and his growth

COLUMBUS, OH (Future150) -- A lot can change in a year: players grow, lose weight, work on their game and become better at certain aspects of the game. In the case of Jordan Mitchell all of these things stand true. Last time we saw Jordan he was a 6-foot-4 wing, and now a year later he stands 6-foot-6, displays more of a point guard-type feel to his game than before. Last summer his height was a major advantage at his position so imagine him as a point guard now.

Jordan has had nothing but success thus far in his basketball career. This year for his middle school team, he averaged 18 points while leading them to back-to-back district championship. Though scoring isn’t his best asset, Jordan managed to muster up 30 points for his season high. Now with his previous summer team, All-Ohio Red, who dominated the summer before coming up short to the national champions Team CP3 in the semi-finals, he was Mr. intangible.  He scored, rebounded, and done all the things that do not show up on the stat sheet that leads to wins

Jordan will be suiting up full time with King James Shooting Stars for the summer circuit to focus more on his personal growth as a player.

“He’s mostly been working on his decision making as a point guard,” per his dad.

Already the No. 13 player in our 2019 rankings, we loved his game as 6-foot-4 wing, it will be interesting to see his growth in his size and game as a 6-foot-6 point guard.
