Pottsville, PA (Future150) -- One of the biggest surprises on the youth AAU circuit this spring was Alabama 2020 prospect Zondrick 'Zee' Garrett.
Playing with Elite Squad (AL), he's been raising eyebrows with his dominant post presence, thanks in large part to his relentless motor and explosive athleticism.
Now that his name is rising in the southeast region, he's focused on continuing to get better and improve his overall skillset in preparation for his freshman year at Oxford High School (AL).
"My high school coach doesn't want me to be in the post. He wants me to become more of a wing."
Still growing and now almost 6'7", it's going to be fun to see how his game transitions as he heads to the high school level. But for now, he's getting used to becoming a hot commodity in his region.
While several shoe circuit teams have come calling on the power forward, he enjoys playing with his Elite Squad teammates.
"I've been around my guys for the past year now. We always hang out together. It's a family process. It's fun for me. I've never really wanted to play with anyone else."
