Reading, PA (Future150) -- The 2016 Hoop Group Junior Future All-American Camp came to a close on Wednesday afternoon, but not before the annual all-star game for the best prospects. Below are a few storylines from the game, featuring prospects in the classes of 2021 & 2022.

Trey Patterson Shows Immense Potential

There was a palpable buzz all week surrounding the biggest camper in attendance, 6'6" small forward Trey Patterson. While he didn't completely dominate all week, he showed different aspects of his immense potential throughout the camp. He's an incredibly gifted prospect who has all the skills to be an extraordinary high school player. The sky is the limit for the New Jersey wing, provided he stays in the gym!

Jayden Brown 'Handles" The Competition

In terms of floor generals, we absolutely loved the long-term ability of 5'11" Jayden Brown, who plays for Sports U-Team IZOD (NJ) on the summer circuit. His advanced ball skills and shifty nature had the gym buzzing throughout the week, all while keeping his assist numbers high and his turnovers down. All in all, it was a great week for the New Jersey guard.

Philly PG Leaves His Mark

No prospect came on stronger as the week went on than DePaul Catholic (PA) guard Rahsool Diggins. Not only did he lead his team to an 8-0 mark and a championship, but he capped off his week with a solid showing in the all-star game as well. He has a good feel for the game at 5'10", and is strongest when attacking the rim and creating foul-shot opportunities for himself.

Other All-Star Standouts:

Bez Mbeng, 2021 PG: The smooth floor general has great feel for the game and was an impressive ball-handler all week. His length and first-step make him a difficult cover, and the next evolution of his development should be his perimeter jump-shot.

Quincy Allen, 2021 SG: A long and wiry 6'2" prospect, the Maryland wing has significant room for growth on both ends of the floor. Right now, he's at his best when slashing to the basket, where he uses his length to finish over the defense.

Kam Rodriguez, 2022 PG: An electric ball-handler at 5'0", the New York City floor general plays with a ton of gusto. Because of his speed and ball skills, he was able to hold off bigger and stronger defenders, and his passing skills made him a favorite among his teammates, because it led to several easy baskets throughout the week.
