Syracuse, NY (Future150) -- The #45 prospect nationally in the 2018 class, Syracuse native Mika Adams-Wood, used this past year to really enhance his national profile.

He attended Future150 Elite24 Camp in August, where he showcased an impressive ability to not only set up his teammates, but score the ball as well.

He left the camp ranked as the #5 overall prospect in his class, and earned a spot in the Elite24 All-Star Game to close out the camp. Here is what Future150 Southeast Analyst Garrett Tucker had to say about his game at the camp.

"The Syracuse native was one of the most impressive point guards to take the court, thus leading to his nod for the all-star game. Adams-Woods has a great feel for the game, as he found his teammates and set them up for easy baskets. He also showed he can score the ball when needed, either at the rim or from the perimeter."

He has continued to impress this winter in the Northeast. He is averaging roughly 14 points and seven assists for his middle school team, and according to him, he owes his success to one person in particular.

"There have been a lot of people who have been there for me, but my number one role model is my coach Billy Edelin. He's really made me a better and smarter player. He played for Syracuse University and was one of the best point guards in the country so I would watch his Syracuse tapes to relate to his game flow."

Doubling as his AAU coach for the Team Swerve program in Syracuse, Edelin himself was indeed a stud at the high school and college level.

Before playing a key role for Syracuse in helping them win their 2003 National Championship alongside Carmelo Anthony, Hakim Warrick and Gerry McNamara, he led prestigious Oak Hill Academy (VA) to a mythical national championship at the high school level as well.

Now, he mentors the youth of Syracuse, coaching them on the floor and giving them advice off the floor as well.

Look for the 5-foot-10 point guard to hold court this summer at our New York Future150 Camp in June.
