Anniston, AL (Future150) -- Playing against older and more experienced competition is nothing new for DJ Heath out of Anniston, Alabama.

He is an explosive combo guard, who makes plays like a seasoned veteran. Standing at 5-foot-11; he utilizes his speed, quickness, and strength to blow by players in the lane and finish strong at the rim.

His approach to high school players shows he has the mental capability to handle any type of competition.

“It’s like a jungle out there, you do the eating or become eaten,” Heath said emphatically.  “I am the one eating.”

Heath is a class of 2017 member, but plays ball for Sacred Heart High School and currently competes in AAU ball for the ATL Rockafellas.

He is only a 7th grader, but Heath started last season for his varsity high school team.  They went 18-6 on the season, but ended up losing in the first round of the playoffs.  He was able to make the All-County Team.

The skills he presently owns makes him a great overall guard, but he does feel that he has a few things to work on.

“I can dribble with my left hand, but I need to learn to finish with my left hand,” he explained.  “I also need to become a more consistent three point shooter.”

With all the talent Heath holds, he has already been invited to attend several Elite Camps from colleges like Auburn, Alabama, and UAB.

The future plans for this young player is to keep competing against higher level competition, which in return will help him increase his overall game.

Heath is going to be an astounding player and one that will be highly coveted, when the time comes for him to move onto college.
