Houston, TX (Future150) -- 2018 Courtney Ramey - 5'8" PG Team Ramey
Courtney is one of the top point guards in his class nationally, and he proved it with his play over the weekend. He has excellent ball skills, solid court vision, and a pretty jump shot. He plays with poise and is always in control of the game. He is surrounded by talented players and he has no problem facilitating and making his teammates look better than himself. Great prospect.
2017 Jared Pearre - 6'4" PF Pro Skills Elite
Jared runs the floor very well for a player his size. He has a nice game around the basket, and he blocks several shots per game. He rebounds the ball very well on both ends of the floor, and he can affect the game in a variety of ways. Very good prospect going forward.
2018 Walter Talley - 6'6" PF New York Rens
The most dominant player in the 13U division was the Coney Island native. He's 6'6" and has great footwork for a player his size at his age. He runs the floor well and uses his long arms to rebound the basketball at a high level. Right now, his biggest asset is his rebounding and shot blocking ability.
2017 Rick "Doc" Nelson Jr. - 5'10" PG Houston Elite
Doc is the most important piece of the puzzle for his talented Houston Elite team. When he was sidelined with an injury for a game on Saturday, his team looked lost without their floor general. He plays with very good pace, handles the ball with pressure, and knocks down shots to keep the defense honest.
2018 Jared Butler - 5'5" PG New Orleans Revolution
The most talented prospect on the New Orleans based team is point guard Jared Butler. The diminuative lead guard has excellent burst with the ball in his hands. He accelerates to get into the lane at will, and has a lethal outside jump shot. Very charismatic point guard who always gets the job done.
2018 Fred Thatch Jr. - 5'10" SG/SF Team Ramey
A physically impressive wing prospect, Fred was the physical presence that helped lead Team Ramey to the 13U championship this past weekend. He has a football build and uses it to his advantage on the hardwood. He is versatile enough to play the 2-4 positions on the floor, and he has a great motor. He is also an excellent student.
2018 Darion Manning - 6'1" PF D-Gib Hoops
The small forward prospect has a never-ending motor on the floor. Right now, his worth is found in using his nonstop motor to get easy baskets. He also is a standout on-ball defender who takes pride in shutting down an offensive player. Once he begins to refine his offensive skills and continues to grow his overall game, he will blossom into a very talented prospect.
2018 Jalen Banks - 6'1" SF New Orleans Revolution
The most high-upside prospect we saw on the New Orleans Revolution last weekend was Jalen. He is a very long and athletic player who plays with great energy. He rebounds, blocks shots, gets out in transition, and finishes very well at the rim. Very personable kid who is confident in his abilities. Knows how to play his role well.
2018 Eden Holt - 5'0" PG Rytes Warriors
The engine that makes the Rytes Warriors go is Eden. He controls the flow of the game for his team, always plays under control, and has elite ball skills for a player his age. He showed the ability to knock down clutch shots for his team, and he picks his spots well. Very good facilitator as well.
2018 D.J. Sims - 5'7" PG Oklahoma Elite
Future150 uncovered a little known prospect this past weekend who hails from Lawton, Oklahoma. D.J. is a point guard prospect who has excellent burst. There wasn't a floor general his age who could stay in front of him on his drives to the basket. He showed great ball-handling skills and is a good shooter as well. He is without a doubt one of the premiere point guards his age.
2018 Jamal Bieniemy - 5'10" SG Rytes Warriors
We absolutely love how smooth Jamal is on the floor. He plays under control and never forces the issue. He is a very good mid-range shooter who uses his skills off-the-dribble to his advantage. He has good ball skills and also loves to get his teammates involved in the flow of the game.
2017 Kobe Robinson - 5'2" PG Oklahoma Dream Team
Kobe has elite speed, has great change of direction, and the ball is on a strong in his hands. He showed great court vision on the floor. Even though he's small in stature, he had no problem scoring the ball from all three levels against prospects much larger than him. Think Aquille Carr.
2018 Ethan Henderson - 6'5" C Arkansas Hawks
Potentially the best long term prospect at the event, Ethan is a huge prospect at 6'5". He already is an excellent shot blocker and he disrupts many more shots. He is a good rebounder and he runs the floor very well. He also showed an ability to face-up in a half-court setting, which is very promising for a big man his age.
