Baton Rouge, LA (Future150) -- Since coach Johnny Jones and company have arrived at LSU, they have thrived on the recruiting trail. Last year they landed three huge pieces in Jarell Martin, Jordan Mickey, and Tim Quartermann. In the 2014 class they landed Elbert Robinson just last week, but it is the 2015 class that has the biggest star of the bunch: Ben Simmons.
The Austrailan forward decided to end his recruitment on Monday morning and picked the Tigers over the likes of Kentucky and Duke, among others. Simmons is an athletic forward who can do a little bit of everything.
This season will be his first full one in the states. Last year, he decided to enroll at powerhouse prep program Montverde Academy (FL). This year, he will be counted on to be one of the stars on yet another loaded squad.
Simmons is already a talented player but his potential makes him downright scary. It seems as though he is just beginning to come into his own and that his best basketball is ahead of him.
LSU fans get ready, because you're going to hear him roar.
