Peachtree City, GA (Future150) -- This weekend Jordan Lyons and Christian Turner visited Wofford College.

Lyons and Turner play together with Heat Check 17u.  They are both holding D1 offers from low and mid-majors throughout the South.

"They have offered me, but they haven't offered me yet," said Lyons.  "It is possible that both of us could end up there. Very possible."

According to Lyons, Wofford has three scholarships for 2016 and possibly one rolling over from 2015.

"I have been there before," said Lyons.  "We played in a tournament in Spartanburg.  I like it though.  I think this is my third time visiting there."

Though the students fled the campus Friday, Lyons was still able to wander through the buildings and gym.

"They just got out on Friday.  They are out.  I couldn't get a good feel on how it is.  The last time I went there school was in.

"The campus is nice," said Lyons.  "It is small, but it is nice.  What really impresses me about Wofford is that they win.  I like what they are doing with their tournament.  They have gone to the tournament four of the last six years."

Winning is somethig Lyons is used to. His high school team didn't lose for four straight months.  Only one loss, an unfortunate premature season-ending loss, soured his McIntosh High junior campaign.  Wofford is another team that wins frequently.

"They are recruiting me real hard," said Lyons.  "They want me to be apart of it."

Finding the perfect college can be a daunting task.  And it eventually comes down to a few critical guidelines.  For Lyons the small town colleges are not ruled out.  Though he lives in the Atlanta-metro he is not looking for a downtown college.

"I will be fine with that," said Lyons.  "I don't want to go to a school that is a city school.  I want a college feel.  It wouldn't be a problem.  The city I live in is a suburb.  It is kind of similar."

Future Visits

Will Jordan and his father be taking any visits in the coming month?

"There are quite a few," said Lyons.  "I am going to go to Radford. Samford.  I have been to Middle Tennessee once, but I am going to go back.  I will probably go back to Furman."

The two schools that will get a first glimpse of Lyons in late-May or June are Samford (AL) and Radford (VA).
