Montgomery, AL (Future150) -- The Southeast has produced many college basketball stars in the past, and the future looks bright for the region, too. While Alabama isn’t known as a stacked basketball state, Dallas County (Ala.) wing William Lee may be one of the more coveted players from the area.

At 6-foot-8 and 195-pounds and super athleticism, it is easy to see why most of the SEC is vying for his services.

“Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, UAB, Stanford, Wichita State, and Mississippi State are some of the schools involved right now,” he told Future150.com.

Lee claims no leaders to this point, but he has taken recent visits to a couple of schools. He has been to a couple of Alabama games, as well as when Georgia hosted Kentucky a few weeks ago.

“I haven’t taken any official visits yet, but I plan to take some in the future. I hope to have a decision by the end of the AAU season.”

Prior to making his decision, there are a couple of factors that will come into Lee’s recruitment.

“If I go there, it has to feel like a family since I will be there for four years. I have to be comfortable with everything. Style of play will be big for me, too. I like to get up-and-down and play on the fast-break,” he explained.

The long forward will run with the Alabama Challenge on the EYBL circuit this summer, and his goal (like most of his teammates) is set on the prize at the end of July.

“I want the Challenge to go all the way. I want to make it to Peach Jam and win the whole EYBL. That’s my goal.”
