Lexington, NC (Future150) -- The 2017 class in North Carolina isn't as 5-star oriented as usual, but still boasts a deep group of D1 prospects. A majority of the top guys have high major offers, but that does not always mean these are the schools that will fit them best.

(Note: these are not predictions of where these players will commit to, but predictions of which system they would fit in best and allow them to translate to the college level the easiest.)

Lavar Batts2017 PG, JM Robinson: Batts recently cut his list down to two, Clemson and VCU. A tough-nosed defender, he loves to slash the lane using his speed and good handles on offense. The defense must respect his game out to the perimeter, because he is fully capable of draining the deep ball. Both programs would be good fits for Batts, but at this point it seems like VCU would allow his game to translate over the smoothest.

Predicted Best Fit: VCU

JP Moorman2017 CF, Greensboro Day School: When speaking on terms of pro potential, Moorman may be a top of the list coming in the 2017 class out of NC. At 6'7" he possesses the skills to play the two, three, and four positions with confidence. He can handle and shoot it, and has no problem with crashing the glass and guarding opposing frontcourt players on the defensive end. He holds offers from Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, and Temple among others. All three of these programs love going after lengthy, versatile players. The Bearcats have recently had success with combo/versatile forward's similar to Moorman (Jacob Evans, Gary Clark, Shaq Thomas).

Predicted Best Fit: Cincinnati

Justyn Hamilton2017 F/C, IndependenceHamilton has came a long way over the past year and a half. Once viewed as a totally raw big man with good rebounding and rim-protecting skills, now has north of 15 D1 offers. With the most recent of these coming from DePaul, and Temple. Hamilton has improved heavily with his offensive game and has some solid go-to post moves, along with abilities to hit the jump shot from about 8-12 feet. Charleston, East Tennessee State, UNC-Wilmington, and VCU seem like the best fits for Hamilton's game at this point. His offer from Temple should not be overlooked as well because they are definitely looking for height and length from the 2017 class.

Predicted Best Fit: Charleston or VCU

Jalen Seegars2017 SG, High Point Christian Academy: Seegars should serve as one of the leaders for HPCA this season, but his leadership skills isn't the only thing he excels in on the court. At 6'5" and a bruising 220 pounds, Seegars knows how to muscle through contact and finish around the basket. He is a phenomonal rebounder for his position and is never shy to guard the best player on the opposing team. He is never shy or scared to let his emotions show when on the floor, which usually ignites his teammates. Holding offers from Hampton, High Point, Monmouth, Vermont, Western Carolina, and Winthrop there are two schools that stick out when it comes to usually having strong, bruising two guards that rebound and slash the lane well.

Predicted Best Fit: Hampton or Monmouth

Michael Hueitt2017 SG, Northwood Temple: Very possibly the best pure shooter in the NC class of 2017, Hueitt is a tough one to predict because any system is going to put the ball in his hands and allow him to shoot when he's open. The best thing about Hueitt is that he is more than a shooter. He can put the ball on the floor, and is an underrated defender. When you look at his list of 13 offers, you see schools like Boston, Buffalo, Middle Tennessee, and UNC-Greensboro who all love to have players that can let it fly from beyond the arc.

Predicted Best Fit: Boston or Buffalo
