Charlotte, NC (Future150) -- North Florida picked up a big time 2017 prospect on Wednesday evening in the form of SG Wes Morgan. Morgan is a 6'7 wing guard from Charlotte, North Carolina. He enjoyed a huge junior year at Ardrey Kell high school breaking three point shooting records and winning plenty of games. This led to some recruitment upticks which has now come to an end for Morgan.

"It was just an all around perfect fit," Morgan said. "The school has a great enviroment and they win a lot of games."

The coaching staff at North Florida loves the size they get with Morgan, but what's even better is his pure shooting stroke.

"Their plan for me coming in was something I couldn't pass up," Morgan said. "They want me to do what I do best, which is shoot the ball at an elite level."

Morgan should thrive in the Atlantic Sun conference with his elite size and natural shooting abilities. As he continues to develop his overall offensive game, he could end up being an all-conference type player before his career as an Osprey comes to an end.

Either way North Florida landed a big time scoring threat that should be able to step in and contribute right away.

"Coach Driscoll is a very passionate and enthusiastic coach," Morgan said. "He's very excited about me, and I'm very excited to be an Osprey!"
