North Andover, MA (Future150) -- Wabissa Bede is a 2017 PG that runs with Mass Rivals on the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit. Bede, a native of North Andover, Massachusetts, has always been known as a solid D1 prospect with offers coming from Boston College, DePaul, Massachusetts, Providence, Temple, and VCU among others.
With some fantastic performances on the Gauntlet, and his overall showing of his court vision and good decision making, is it time to label Bede as a true high major recruit? He has seen plenty of other high major schools begin to track him lately.
"I've been hearing from Baylor, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and USC since the AAU season started," Bede said. "I think I'm going to start taking some unofficial visits with Coach Tom (Mass Rivals Assistant Coach)."
Bede is a strong floor general that can do a little bit of everything. His strength allows him to finish through contact well, while his court vision also helps him create easy scoring oppurtunities for his teammates. On defense, he isn't afraid to match up to anyone and is a very solid rebounder for a 6'1 guard.
The way he plays the game and his overall potential as a great team leader is what truly is starting to make Bede a high major recruit. His process should be very interesting heading forward, so stay locked in with Future150 as we continue to track the promising floor general.
