Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- He dominated competition as a 6-foot-5 seventh grade post player. Then, he came back as a 6-foot-9 eighth grader and did the same against a national audience while playing at AAU Nationals in Orlando for the Birmingham Storm Elite.
Throughout the spring and summer of 2013,agile power forward Wendell Carter proved that he remains head and shoulders above other prospects his age.
A skilled post prospect with an arsenal of moves in the low block, he also has the ability to put the ball on the floor and face-up on the perimeter, skills that are very rare for a big man so young.
Now, the Fulton Leadership Academy (GA) big man is ready to see national programs come calling. Currently ranked as the #3 prospect in the land, Carter is an intelligent kid who comes from an excellent family.
He works hard to improve his game, and there's no telling just how good he can become over the next few years with added work. As it stands, he looks very much like the next dominant big man to come out of Atlanta, following in the footsteps of Dwight Howard and Derrick Favors, among others.
